Brigid is a writer and owns two thrift store film cameras.
This is the visual aid.
About me:
During the workday, I can be found writing UX content, collaborating with designers in Figma, and talking to stakeholders about their goals for the tools we’re building together.
In my spare time, I take on home fermentation projects in my Brooklyn kitchen, go to the gym (mostly for the sauna), and work towards visiting every natural wine bar and shop in the city. In the summer, I often ride my bike to the beach and hope to see aerial advertising.
Before working in UX and content roles, I worked first in media and communications and then as a high school teacher in Washington, DC.
In my early-career comms jobs, I learned a lot about the federal government, print and digital advertising, and choosing the right shoes for both commuting and the office.
As a teacher, I worked with students new to the US. We performed Shakespeare in three languages and took the Metro to Smithsonian museums and Nats games. I improved my Spanish to a conversational level, and my accent is like if a Honduran teen spoke with flat Milwaukee vowels.
